Some early riser quotes as inspiration for all you morning people!
When I first heard that I should wake up at some insane hour of the morning in order to increase my productivity, I rolled my eyes.
I mean, sure. Being an early riser might work for CEOs and yoga teachers, but have you met a parent? We’re up half the night with kids!
But once I, too became an early riser, and started giving that time to myself first thing, I was hooked.
I have now been waking up around 4:30 or 5:30 almost every morning for nearly 4 years now, and it has increased my productivity by tenfold. But the most important part of becoming and early riser is this:
Waking up early allows me to fill my cup before anyone else starts to drain it.
Listen, you probably know this: being a mom is tough, as is being a working mom. It feels like everywhere you go, someone drains your cup, little by little.
Someone always needs you: a boss needs an email, your kid needs a snack, your husband needs help finding his wallet, the school needs you to sign this permission slip today or the field trip ain’t happening.
When I wake up early, it’s just me. No one needs me but me. It’s my time.
If I make sure to spend even 30 minutes every morning focusing on my own needs first, then I have so much more to give to those I love- and anyone else who needs it.
And it has been amazing for my productivity. I get more done in the 2-3 hours before my house wakes up than I do all day.
And so, even though every single morning when that alarm goes off, I snuggle under the covers and think, “what if I just stayed here?” I quiet that thought and get my tired ass up.
It’s never easy, but I always get up.
And sometimes we need a little inspo to do the hard things, right? A little push.
These 8 early riser quotes will inspire you to get the heck outta bed, too.
They remind me that waking up early is phenomenal for my business and myself, and that even when it’s hard, it’s worth it. I hope they can help you, too!
